Videos apparently leaked by Moscow reveal the presence of Iranian F-14 and MiG -29 fighters in Syrian skies for the first time. The Italian magazine “The Aviationist,” showed them escorting heavy Russian bombers, including the Tupolev TU-160, the heaviest, fastest and most destructive bomber ever built, on missions no more than 150 km from Israel’s northern border. Normally, the Israeli Air Force would have fought off and shot down any Iranian warplanes appearing in Syrian air space, but they are protecting themselves by flying with Russian bombers.

A comment suggesting the Obama administration’s new direction on Syria came from US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter Tuesday, Oct. 27: “We won't hold back,” he said, “from supporting capable partners in opportunistic attacks against ISIL...or conducting such mission directly, whether by strikes from the air or direct action on the ground." The electronic warfare system is capable of neutralizing air and ground military operations of US-led operations forces in Syria and Iraq by jamming almost any radio signal.
